1 | I Tim 2:12 Paul's opinion or God's Word? | 1 Tim 2:12 | EdB | 123370
Wait! Wait! Just a moment! The Bible records statements by Satan and many ungodly men they aren't inspired. If they are inspired then Job only worshipped God because God was nice to him. Job, Job 1:9-11. And from Gamaliel's mouth Acts 6:38-39 we learn the Islam which is the fastest growing religion in the World must be of God. We know utterances contained in the scripture made by men speaking for God are in fact God inspired but we also know that not all dialogue contained in the scipture came from men inspired by God. Come on people read what the man (Rowdy) is saying. Paul himself said it not God saying this but I (Paul) am offering this opinion. Now I will agree that since Paul was a mighty man of God his opinion is worth our consideration. Also while Paul is clearly offering his opinion here we can find other scripture that is not man's opinion that in fact verifies that most of these opinions do reconcil with God's desires. EdB |

2 | EdB, Did God lie in 2 Tim 3:16? | 1 Tim 2:12 | Searcher56 | 123373
EdB, then is this a lie? "ALL SCRIPTURE is inspired by God ..." (2 Tim 3:16)? I think the difference is what is SAID, is not always inspired, but what is RECORDED is always inspired. God inspired man what to write. |

Searcher56 I didn't realize you posted this as a question when I first answered it. First I think it to be in very bad taste to try to put words into my mouth. I never implied not did I intend to imply that scripture was anything less than it claimed to be. Secondly I agree completely with you last statement all dialogue contained in scripture may not be inspired but God did inspire men to record it. I think that is what I said and I also think that is what Rowdy said. If I said anything that contradicts that please point it out and I will issue a public apology and a retraction immediately. I was just teasing, my wife won't let me have my sword since I sat on the couch and forgot I was wearing it. The hole is barely noticeable if you put a pillow in the right place. :-) EdB |
