Hank: Your not saying the Christian should be void of good works are you? I don't believe you are. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. Titus 3:8 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. James 2:17 Blessings New Creature |

Hello, New Creature. You ask whether I'm saying that Christians should be devoid of good works. No, New Creature, that is emphatically not what I am saying or ever have said! My position is exactly this, verbatim, no more and no less: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as the result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." [Ephesians 2:8-10]. Thank you for your question and for allowing me the opportunity to state my belief more fully and unequivocally on this key issue. Or, more accurately, for allowing the Bible, God's inerrant and ultimate source of truth, to speak clearly on the issue. --Hank | ||||||
