1 | For Ray! :-) | 1 Cor 8:5 | Morant61 | 137982 | ||
Greetings Ray! Deut. 4:35 simply says 'there is none else besides Him'! But, the 'none else' modifies God. Is. 45:21 also says 'there is none besides Me' in the last clause. However, the first clause specifically says "no 'elohim' else besides me". Deut. 32:39, Is. 44:6, and Is. 45:5 also all specifically say "no 'elohim'"! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Hi Tim, Thank you for your work here. So the key is the "no 'elohim' ELSE besides me". Or in English "no OTHER 'elohim' besides me". The verses that I would note then to compare are Deut 5:7, "You shall have no other gods before [Margin note, Or besides] Me." and Isaiah 45:21, "And there is no other gods besides Me." From the heart, Ray |
