Greeting Realtor5600! The short answer is that there aren't any Bibilical rights that a bride has in regards to a wedding. The issue simply isn't discussed. It sounds like you have some family issues which really should be discussed with your local pastor. The forum simply isn't a good place for such advice. I would provide one word of caution though: There may be extreme cases where the father should not be invited to participate in a daughter's wedding, such as abuse. However, consider the consequences very carefully - not inviting a father to a daughter's wedding will most likely be a relationship breaker. I would advise that you get with your local pastor to discuss these issues though. Then, you can discuss with him all of the issues and dynamics involved in this decision. I hope this helps! Thanks for your help. We have consulted with our local pastor and they(all 12) have been no help. That's why I went to a public forum for some unbiased advise. Thanks again, and you have been helpful.-God bless you, my brother.-realtor5600 | ||||||

Greetings Realtor5600! I hope this doesn't sound rude my new friend, but were they of no help or did you just not like what they had to say? The reason I ask is many continue to ask for advice until they get the advice that they wanted all along. I don't know this to be case in your situation, but it is hard to imagine that none of your pastors were able to a help! :-) If you would like, e-mail me at Morant62@hotmail.com and I'll try to give you an unbiased opinion, since I don't know any of the ones involved. If not, I wish you well my friend! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
