1 | Suicide: a question on sin | 1 Cor 6:19 | betsyann | 162180 | ||
No, Doc, i am not a christian science. I am a born-again Bible believer living under the blood of Jesus. I guess there isn't any further reason for you and I to discuss this since we obviously disagree on the powers of God...I refuse to put a limit on God's power and ability. I was merely giving my opinion that I don't think that if you refuse medical treatment that you are committing suicide. Trusting God for healing could seem like a risk, but who better to take a risk on...the ultimate ONE who created the universe and knows our name and the hairs of our head..and he delicately designed our bodies so he can surely heal us. your sister in Christ, Betsy |

Dear Betsy, Perhaps it is good to remember that all healing, no matter how it takes places, is God's doing. He has been gracious to grant to men medical knowledge. (What the old divines called "common grace.") He also deigns to heal some, although all men ultimately die of one physical defect or another. To neglect the knowledge that He has provided is not, in my estimation, committing suicide. Neither is failing to wear a seat belt. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to stand before Him and explain why I had tempted Him! In Him, Doc |
