jcsav - Let the readers draw their own conclusions about Searcher56. He may know a great deal more than you seem willing to give him credit for. Have you ever considered the possibility that Searcher56 may be right and you wrong? Don't you think your time could be better spent than in stewing about what you perceive to be Searcher's lack of understanding of what you have been trying to "teach" him. The breakdown in education is as likely to be the fault of the teacher as of the student. As for me, your theological positions fall into two groups: the ones I understand but don't agree with, and the ones I simply don't understand. --Hank

May I remind you, that it was Searcher56 that continually tried to bait me, and not the other way around. I did not mean my post to be an attack and just for the record, I do not stew. And you know as well as I, that Scripture can not be simply taught as you would any other book. If the student fell to understand it is not the teachers fault.

jcsav, I ask you and others questions about what has been said. I want to know the Biblical basis. We all should be willing to learn, even teachers and preachers. "Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it" (Pro 22:6). This verse means that we must train the child according to their bents and it is not a cookie cutter method. Since I teach - if the student does not understand, it is my fault. I must commuincate, so they do. They should not have make the adjustments. Searcher PS Back to a previous discussion ... James 2:19 says "You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder" ... so it is possible to believe and not be saved. The demons stop short in belief in the Lord Jesus to be saves (Acts 16:31). |

Very good! But our ablility to learn Scripture also comes from the way we hold the Truth that we do have. Everyone who comes to God is taught of God. If you get hung up on one point of Scripture, it can prevent your growth. The Scripture you used in PS is very good!
