Thank you EdB for saying what it seems like forever I've been trying to say.Acts 2:38 We got the full deal when we were saved. The job was complete.Col 2:10 We have no more or less of the Holy Spirit today than we did the day we were saved. It's time for us to collectivly get our act together and instead of squabling over percieved differences real or not and get our heads into the Word of God.Believe it or not folks we can be unified. But it wont happen as long as we hold on to personal bias and opinion. My brothers and sisters Gods Word is simple,He new it had to be if us stubborn human beings were ever going to understand his plan for us.Lets allow God to speak,he does it so much better than us.Gods plan was for a unified body not a divded one. Always your brother in Christ, lionheart |

lionheart I doubt that all will ever agree this side of heaven. We claim Sola Scriptura but what we really mean is Sola our interpretation of Scriptura. Before the reformation we had one man or one group of church leadership basically decide doctrine. They did this using both scripture and oral and written traditions and teachings of the Apostles and early chruch fathers. Then we said that is absurd we don't need anyone to tell us what is so plainly stated in the Bible. Then we all went our 5000 plus ways. It was now clear and certain to each man I assure you. As one poster said to me today I'm willing to stake my life on it. EdB |
