1 | some people say you must speak in tongue | 1 Cor 12:4 | BradK | 144078
Hi jcsav, Let's just assume that I'm in error and scripture contradicts me. Let's look at the text: "For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit." I would have 2 questions for: 1. Who is the verse speaking to and what does it mean in context? Would you care to comment? 2. How exactly has scripture contradicted me? I look forward to your reply:-) BradK |

1. Who is the verse speaking to and what does it mean in context? It is speaking to all believers who had ALREADY Repented and been Baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. According to Acts 2:38. (You on the other hand have not done so, if you had, you would understand my words) By this, you would have been baptised into the Body of Christ. You would have also spoke in tongues as the Spirit of God would have given you utterance. 2. How exactly has scripture contradicted you? The Holy Ghost do not agree with what you are teaching. How do I know? Because I have indeed received the Holy Ghost by the baptism of Jesus. I did not claim it on my own. And he do speak and that means, not just in tongues. You have a form of Godliness. But it is not according to Power. Did you know that in the presence of anyone that is part of the body of Christ can use his name to fill individuals with the Holy Ghost. And with that name can cause those with demons to manifest themselves (They (demons) even speak to you ). You can also case them out using that name "JESUS CHRIST". |

jcsav - Your Post 142128 to BradK is a prime example of why we have published guidelines for users of this Forum. You probably should be reported for abuse. Knock off the ad hominem attacks! You are impressing no one in a favorable manner. There are readers of this Forum who recognize quite clearly that ad hominem attacks on one's opponent are a tried-and-true strategy for people who have a case that is weak. --Hank

jcsav - Post 144128 certainly is from you and that's the post in which you did your ad hominem on BradK. That was the post which I meant to reference. My error in reference numbers does not exonerate you, jcsav! ..... Post 142128 is from greentwiga to whom I extend apologies for referencing his post in error. --Hank

Hank, it is from me. Isn't it reasonable to request which post you are referring to. BradK toke the position of postulate in post 144078. It was under this premise that I answered him. And under this premise, what right do he have to be insulted. However, I would not have answered him in such a faction otherwise.
