Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in in meat, or in respect of a holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. I can decide to worship on a day, and another may decide to worship on a different day, one day is as valid as another. I may choose Sunday because of a tradition, another may choose a Saturday because of history or tradition, each choice is valid. I may choose to put the Word on my clothing, and on my door posts. I may dress down, when I go to my fellowship, to show others that clothing is not what church is about. Another may dress in formal attire to honor God. A person gets to choose for that person, a person cannot decide what another person should do. There are limits to this, I can not violate the ten commandments. When I read 'Thou shalt not kill', I get to decide, prayerfully and with study, what this means. I can not murder, I may decide going to war as a soldier is service to God and country, and not murder. I can decide for me and it be Biblically valid, if I feel war is not allowed under 'Thou shalt not kill', that is also valid. A person will see this abused, honest persons seeking to serve God may not agree with each other on the letter of the Law, but let us always strive to agree together with the spirit of the law. I can worship Sunday, unto the Lord, and I can worship Saturday, unto the Lord. Each is valid as the other. While my fellow believers may not agree on the finer points of the Law, we can agree that their is some flexibility in how a person can apply the matters of Law in their walk with God. urus57 |
