2 | Psalm 91:12. a saved individual! | Acts 12:7 | RGS | 47902
Well actually you have stirred up another question! Psalm 91:12. It reads, "They [angels] will bear you up in their hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and cobra, the young lion and the serpent you will trample down. So would this pertain to a saved individual! If so! Why would I have been save when I was at best a casual believer? And the only other person with me died? Would the Angles not protect both? |

3 | Psalm 91:12. a saved individual! | Acts 12:7 | Ray | 47908
Hi RGS, Lets look at this from different Angles. :) I say that as a joke because the word angel is misspelled so often on this forum.***** Psalm 91 definitely is talking about the saved individual from start to finish. Verse 1, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the (Almighty.) Verse 9, "For you have made the Lord, my refuge, Even the (Most) High, your dwelling place. Verse 15, "He will call upon Me, and (I) will answer him;..." ***** He is our refuge and fortress and He is our dwelling place. I rejoice with you that verse 16 may apply to you, "With a long life I will satisfy him, And let him behold My salvation." ****** Whether we have long lives or short we can know that God is our refuge and strength. It is comforting to know that there is the possibility that angels are watching over us and protecting us. But again, Jesus had the possibility of calling them but did not because that was not in His purpose.***** God's eye is on the sparrow also, but we have to realize that the sparrow still falls to the ground. We will not live here on earth forever, we will all die of something sometime, and we can not presume that we will be protected forever. And certainly we should not test God and jump from a high place with the faith that the angels with catch us.******* I rejoice with you that your life continues after your life threatening situation. I am sorry that your pilot did not survive. There are no guarantees in life except that God will be with the believer to the end when we will behold His salvation.****** You have asked of us, "Why me?" That is the question that every believer asks for we are all worthy of death and have the possibility of death. You are the chosen one in your situation for a "second chance" so to speak. May we all live our continued periods of life, however long or short, in gratitude for what He has done and rejoice that our names are recorded in heaven. Luke 10:20 ***** From the heart, Ray |

Hebrews 1:14 describes angels - "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?" These angelic hosts that do God's bidding are powerful beings but they will never experience the love relationship He desires to have and extends to us! Questioning if your recent experience was the result of angelic intervention is really not the issue. God is soverign, He is absolutely in control. Why and how God choses to "rescue us" is for Him to know and for us to be eternally grateful for! We must be cautious to worship the DELIVERER and not worship the means of our deliverance! I have learned that the more I know about God, the less I really know - for His ways are not mine and He does exceedingly more than I can ever even imagine. God does not need our permission to operate outside the scope of human understanding! Nor is He limited by what we believe about Him! Frankly, I think that God loves to surprise us with more of Himself and the only way He can get the attention of some is to be extremely overt! From what I have read of your posts, God has miraculously protected and preserved you. Thank Him and ask Him what His purpose is for your life! Don't get stuck on the "why me?" It really isn't about you! What you have experienced is all about God and His plan; I'm glad that He chose YOU to be part of it! Blessings, Mommapbs |
