Greetings Ptr, Here is a list of Scriptures that better explain the Trinity.. Matt. 3:16; Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:22; John 3:34-35; John 14:16-17; John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:7; John 16:13-15; Acts 1:2; Acts 1:4-5; Acts 2:33; Acts 10:36-38; Romans 1:3-4; Romans 8:9-11; Romans 8:26-27; 1 Cor. 12:3-6; 2 Cor. 1:21-22; 2 Cor. 5:5; 2 Cor. 13:14; Galatians 4:4,6; 2 Thess. 2:13-14; 2 Thess. 2:16; 1 Tim. 3:16; Titus 3:4-6; Hebrews 9:14; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 John 5:6-7 The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are portrayed together in scripture: 2 Cor. 13:14, Matt. 28:19. The Father 'sent' the Son (John 3:17). The Father and Son 'love' each other (John 14:31). The Father 'speaks' to the Son, and the Son 'speaks' to the Father (John 11:41,42). The Holy Spirit 'comes upon' Jesus at baptism (Matt. 3). Jesus and the Father are viewed as having 'sent' the Holy Spirit (John 15:26). Clearly, these passages point out a distinction of three distinct Persons who are in interaction with each other. Blessings to you, Makarios |

Hi Makarios, Thank you for the scripture verses on the Trinity. I believe God the Father, His Son, and His Holy Spirit as three Divine Agents involved in creation and the salvation of man (Gen1:1; Col 1:15; Heb 1:1-10; 11 Cor 5:18-19; Matt 3:13-17;28:19; Eph 4:4-6). The most distinctive characteristic of the Persons of the Godhead ( Rom 1:20; Col 2:9), is their self-less love for one another. Each esteems and defers to the other in a way that makes the Family of the trinity a model for the christian family of believers. The Father gives all authority to the Son and bears witness to Him,as does Jesus to Himself ( John 8:18). Yet the Son claims nothing for Himself, instead He gives all the glory to the Father who sent Him ( John 12:49-50). The Father serves the Son,the Son serves the Father, both defer to the Holy Spirit, who in turn serves and defers to the Father and the Son in oneness. This mutual love in the Family of the Godhead can be seen in creation, in their generous cooperation in saving lost souls ( John 14:15-17; 25-26). God bless you Ptr |
