Bible Note: Hi Makarios, Thank you for the scripture verses on the Trinity. I believe God the Father, His Son, and His Holy Spirit as three Divine Agents involved in creation and the salvation of man (Gen1:1; Col 1:15; Heb 1:1-10; 11 Cor 5:18-19; Matt 3:13-17;28:19; Eph 4:4-6). The most distinctive characteristic of the Persons of the Godhead ( Rom 1:20; Col 2:9), is their self-less love for one another. Each esteems and defers to the other in a way that makes the Family of the trinity a model for the christian family of believers. The Father gives all authority to the Son and bears witness to Him,as does Jesus to Himself ( John 8:18). Yet the Son claims nothing for Himself, instead He gives all the glory to the Father who sent Him ( John 12:49-50). The Father serves the Son,the Son serves the Father, both defer to the Holy Spirit, who in turn serves and defers to the Father and the Son in oneness. This mutual love in the Family of the Godhead can be seen in creation, in their generous cooperation in saving lost souls ( John 14:15-17; 25-26). God bless you Ptr |
