1 | Islamic View of Crucifixion? | John 1:4 | EdB | 98923 | ||
Colin We live in a nation/world of people that will believe anything someone tells them. The media for various reasons have after 911 painted Islam as group of really nice people that in most ways are far nicer and more peace loving than your average intolerant and sometimes down right hateful fundamentalist Christian. So yes we do have to set the record straight ala Franklin Graham as you say. But we also have reach out to the people of Islamic nations in an effort to show them Jesus loves them and so do we. We can not should not try to portray Islam as anything other than what it is, a hateful, demeaning, war mongering, intolerant, chauvinistic, overbearing, enslaving religion, that almost dehumanizes the individual for the benefit of the many. EdB, Christ died for us while we were still sinners, so He died for these souls too. Islam is all of these things for sure, but not universally. Not every Muslim is ready to kill for Allah. As for Christian tolerance, I actually heard a Christian, a minister raised among Muslims in Azerbaijan, say that America should just bomb Iraq to death, kill all of them, because he knew what beasts Muslims really were. Now, how is this man going to defeat Islam in America without a sidearm? Perhaps we meet the "enemy" in a peaceful setting, under the shelter of mutual dialogue. Perhaps we hand out biblical tracts over a good meal, compare our faiths, quote scripture, pray for the truth, introduce them to Christ, then plan to meet again. This will require us to become stealthy, not strident, to know our adversary and to educate ourselves about his faith in order to free him from it. The times seem to call for this, and I bet it'll win more souls than enemies. Colin |

Colin I have shared Jesus with many Muslims and had the privilege of seeing a few come to the Lord. My heart is for everyone of them to come to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. But I don’t see how soft selling Islam is the answer. Today our prisons are methodically being converted to Islam, many inter city after school care centers are actively being used by Muslims to enlist young children into Islam. Islam is being painted as a peaceful, gentle religion that places no requirement on it’s adherent other than living in peaceful healthy life aside from the morally corrupt lifestyle of present day America. We both know this is totally and completely wrong, young children are being indoctrinated that to sacrifice their lives brings the reward of eternal bliss. That Allah demands they be willing to die for his cause. That Israel and the Jews have stolen their land and are forcing them into exile. That the west lead by the US are supporting this policy of oppression and therefore is an enemy. All of this is of course untrue, the land which is now Israel was basically unwanted by anyone prior to the beginning resettlement of Israel in 1919. The land which is now called Israel was given to Abraham by God himself with the pledge it would always be in Jewish hands. The dome of the rock was very minor monument of Islam being in almost total disrepair until it became an object of political discussion. Once again the problem is not our perception of Islam if we view it for what it really is. The problem is the Islam itself is poisoning the hearts and minds of it’s adherents against anything that is not Islam. We have to call Islam for what it is, a hateful, belligerent philosophy intent on stamping out anything that opposes it. Am I forwarding the idea we should go bomb Islam out of existence? No! But I am saying we need to understand and be fully aware of what Islam is. Islam if it had the capability would not think twice to bomb all non Islamic people out of existence. You said not all Muslims are ready to kill for Allah. However according to the Koran to be a true Muslim the opposite must be true. Any Muslim that is not willing to die for Allah or to kill for Allah is not a true follower they are to much of this world and will not receive the rewards of a true adherent to Islam. EdB |

EdB, I feel exactly as you do about Islam, and believe that we are already at war with Islam both here and beyond. I agree that we need to educate Americans about this threat to our existance and to defy Islam's "invasion" of America; however, the attack come along several fronts. We must invade them, undermine them, convert them. How we do this is my question. Any ideas? Colin. |

Colin I think invading them because they are Muslims would be wrong. I think what needs to be done is let the truth be told. Let the world see how wives are set afire and die horrible deaths because this is a way for the husband to get rid of them. Let the world see and hear the teaching of the young children on how they should be willing to die for Allah. The black world needs to know how true Islam views them not as equals but as a lesser race. Education of the truth will destroy the myth of Islam EdB |
