Dear Ed, Calvinism is merly a nickname. He is not my pope. :) (As you probably know Calvin did not compile "The 5 Points of calvinism" but they were formulated by divines from all over christendom to refute the "Remonstrants" semi-pellagian claims regarding the nature of fallen man) There are literally hundreds of wonderful men of God who have contributed to reformation theology. But they are not my cardinals. I love my pastor. But he is not my priest. So I disagree with your asessment of my inflated opinion. However, I do have a problem with is my inflated waistline! God Bless John |

John In itself there is nothing wrong with Calvinism, I even agree with some of it. I think most people do. What is wrong is when a brother in Christ directs all conversation with other Christians back to a Calvinistic point of view. John there probably as many or more Calvinists as there are Arminianist on this forum, the subject has been discussed almost continually since the forum opened. The general consensus of opinion became this was a subject better left un-discussed since no one was getting anywhere and many people were getting angry. Then you came on the forum and insisted on bringing the subject up. Repeatedly you have been asked to let the subject drop. Repeatedly you have ignored that request. I make this one last final plead with you please talk about something else. If you really believe you can’t then I think you should probably reevaluate what is important in your life, God or winning an argument against someone with a Arminianistic point of view. If it is the later then maybe you should hunt for a forum that argument is welcomed on. This however is a Bible Study forum and Calvinism versus Arminianism is not discussed on it. EdB |
