Javelin, In two separate posts you make the following statements: “IMO 99 percent of curses uttered by Xtians are totally outside of God's will as the scripture, as noted, teaches the contrary.” Post no. 154484 and then… “Witchcraft like that is basically defined as, "attempting to use supernatural means to acheive one's own ends with others" "When xtians do it the supernatural means is God, though God will have nothing to do with it - except perhaps turning it on our own dumb heads to teach us a lesson!" Post no 154501 So you are saying there are Christians that ask God to perform witchcraft and there is 1 percent that is within God will? Very dangerous words, I would say, and would like to see some scriptural support for that. WOS |

I think you are reading into my words things that are not there but I'll answer. It is possible to prononce a curse in the name of the Lord and it be genuinely holy and from God. Elisha did this. 2 Kings 2:24 - there are many other examples. Paul also prononces a curse in Gal 1:8 and also in 1Co 16:22 - very strong words indeed - but from a true apostle of the Lamb under inspiriation acceptable. Or do you disagree with what Paul says there ? However when most people pray prayers of "cursing" or control against their fellow xtians they are totally out of line and acting in a purely selfish way. Don't twist my words WOS, I did not say that xtians "ask God to perform witchcraft and there is 1 percent that is within God will." Very dangerous also to take words from different posts and mix them into one context to draw faulty conclusions! Is this something you do to nit-pick and twist meanings here or what ? no offence taken :) |

Dear Javelin, Clarity in communication is an attribute to be commended to everyone, especially those who seek to rightly divide the word of truth. This is the only means that we possess to pass our thoughts and ideas to others. Being haphazard, slothful, undisciplined, or simply careless causes confusion. Since we are handling the Word of God, we cannot afford to take chances. We will all be held accountable for our stewardship of the truth (Luke 12:48; 19:22; etc.). When one posts in a public forum, one should expect to be questioned. Indeed, if one comes to a public forum carefully and consistently using aberrant and unusual terminology, questioning is likely to be more intense. Also, human beings commonly repeat what they understand as a means of validating that understanding. Consequently, we recommend that people use the tools of communication that God has given with the greatest care that their education and ability can muster. In Him, Doc |
