1 | Paul had problems? No one acts good? | Matt 11:28 | Hank | 165132
atdcross: We Forum readers scan your posts and wonder to ourselves, "Now just where is this fellow coming from?" -- and the thought passes through our minds how nice it would be and how less taxing on our poor, over-wrought gray cells, if we had some hint from you whether you embrace a certain theological school, say, for example, the Reformed faith or the Arminian persuasion in general, or the Baptist or Church of Christ tenets in particular -- or perhaps none of these but something else. In any event, let me persuade you if I can to exchange the blankness that exists in your user profile for some facts about yourself and your theological orientation. You may wish to use the profiles of some established users as broad guides. Your posts show a certain efficiency in your ability to articulate your thoughts; thus one would not expect you to encounter any real difficulty in producing an informative user profile. That it would be helpful to your readers is rather certain. Won't you accomodate us please? --Hank

I usually do not give out information as such on profiles since my experience has been that others make unwarranted assumtions and use it to argue for their position, although one's profile is totally irrelevant to any Biblical or theological discussion. However, understanding that others can appreciate one's background and better understand why certain positions are held, as per your request, please read my updated profile. |

atdcross: Thanks for sharing something of your background with the Forum via your newly composed user profile. Both interesting and informative, it seems to point to a pilgrim who is on what Frederick Buechner has called a sacred journey. For that matter, we all of us are, or ought to be, pilgrims too, each on his sacred journey in quest of God and His eternal truth. Let us pray for the grace to strengthen, encourage and comfort one another as we "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ" (Philippians 3:14). Warmest wishes for the New Year. --Hank
