1 | Who or what does He give up? | Mic 5:3 | Mommapbs | 98703 | ||
Good morning Makarios! THAT little tid bit was very interesting! No need to apologize for posting! I have been thinking about this a lot through the night. I wonder if God is getting tired of me questioning Him about this! The Kingdom of God is everything - Both the seen and the unseen are within HIS domain. Yet we are told that there is a place reserved for the righteous and a place reserved for the wicked. IF the Kingdom of God is universal, and the wicked are not partakers of the Kingdom of Heaven (God) . . . are they still within the Kingdom of God? The Second Death, the Lake of Fire - are these in the Kingdom of God? Can these be (exist)and NOT be part of the Kingdom of God (meaning God is God over ALL)? Oh my, what questions! Thanks for bearing with me! Mommapbs |

Greetings Mommapbs, I apologize, but I do not quite agree that the Kingdom of God is 'everything.' Jesus spoke of the Kingdom of God as something that needs to be 'sought after' and 'entered into' (Matt. 19:24; 21:31; Mark 9:47; Luke 12:31; John 3:3,5). Moreover, are all the "kingdoms of this earth" also a part of the Kingdom of God? (Isaiah 23:17; Jer. 25:26; Matt. 4:8; Luke 4:5) My Answer: Not until Rev. 11:15! :-) Exodus 19:6 states, "And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation" [NKJV]. Luke 17:21 states, "For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you".. [NKJV] Also, Matthew 21:43 states, "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it." [NKJV] Also, the Kingdom of God is something that we must be worthy of (2 Thess. 1:5), and some will not enter the Kingdom of God (Gal. 5:21; 1 Cor. 6:9,10). In addition, even flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God! (1 Cor. 15:50) If all of the above verses are true, where the Kingdom is 'sought after', 'entered into', 'within us', and 'taken away', then how can we come up with a good definition of what the Kingdom of God is? 1 Corinthians 4:20 "For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power" [NKJV] Romans 14:17 "for the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" [NKJV] The Kingdom of God is always present whereever Jesus is present. Therefore, if we abide in Him (1 John 3:24), then WE (human beings) are parts of the "Kingdom of God", and He abides in us (1 John 4:16; John 6:56). The Kingdom of God is Jesus Christ, dwelling in His people and with the Holy Spirit. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33 [KJV] John 6:63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life." [NASB] I hope that this has helped! Blessings to you, Makarios |
