I think Isaiah 6:7 is temporal, not permanent ... Mommapbs, God's day to you. I say this for a couple of reasons ... Christ had not died yet and we still need to confess our sins, since we continue to sin (1 John 1:8-2:2). Searcher |

Thank you for the reply. How does our need to continue to confess our sins relate to what is happening in Isaiah 6:7? What is your thinking on my second question? What is the difference between (and significance of) one's iniquity and guilt being taken away and one's sin being atoned for and forgiven? mommapbs |

If you are talking about how sin affects people it should be understood that there are 2 types of people 1: people that have not accepted the Savior Jesus Christ 2: the people that have accepted the Savior Jesus Christ Now sin for the non-believer is going to cost them but remember they are condemned already Now for the believer we are saved and in a relationship with God that we did not have before so now sin affect 3 things: the mind, the flesh, and fellowship (not relationship) It does not affect our salvation for we who are in Christ are sealed until we are redeemed (that means heaven) however that does not mean you should act or live like a person(s) of the world either. For we harvest the seed we plant either good or bad and weather you know it or not we are always planting seed in word, action, deed, and thought. By the thing we do and even by the thinks we don’t do. Ephesians 4 30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 1: the mind – we tend to take things into our minds that stay with us for sometimes, or a long time that is why the word says (renew your Mind) Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. 2: The flesh or your body- a good example is if some one cuts themselves on purpose they could ask forgiveness and be forgiven by God nevertheless the scare will remain 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 3: our fellowship not relationship- as I have told you in the first part of this letter, if you have accepted Jesus you are not condemned because you are a son of the most High God. There is a big difference between condemnation or being condemned and discipline Hebrews 12 7As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Whoever heard of a child who was never disciplined? 8If God doesn't discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children after all. Romans 8 1So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2For the power[1] of the life-giving Spirit has freed you[2] through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death. John 3 17God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it. 18"There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. 19Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. 21But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants." The hole thing is that if you have given your life to Jesus you will get disciplined because of sin and because he loves you, but not because he condemns you because as Romans 8: 1-2 says Jesus has taken the power of death away for those who have trusted in His Name, now if you feel you are being disciplined then ask God to show you in your life what you need to change. because it really is a choice that God lays before us it is a matter of free will God will never make you do anything you don’t want to do. but you will get disciplined if you are disobedient because he loves you another way of saying it is that you can make it easy on yourself or you can do it the hard way just remember it is a choice as God has said 19"Today I have given you the CHOICE between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness THE CHOICE YOU MAKE. Oh, that YOU WOULD CHOOSE LIFE, that you and your descendants might live! As you can see it is about free will (it is about the Choice) Choose life, choose blessings Your sin affects your fellowship not your relationship If you would like more on this pleases write me at budfreshour@hotmail.com |
