My dear Hank, Isn't the spiritual journey just amazing to follow? Everything that happens to us happens for a purpose, and I have found it interesting that, when God reminded you of your age, that you began to see the wisdom in knowing that there may be fewer days ahead than there are behind. You handled this wisdom by making the conscious choice to become closer in your relationship to your Creator! Praise the Lord, and may we all be so willing to re-prioritize our lives by realizing the enormity of the God that we serve in relation to our fragile and brief human lifespan. I have no doubt that this "sacrifice" on your part has reaped so many blessings and rewards already, and you have been a most excellent example to someone like me by proving to be a "good steward" of your time, my friend. I have learned, from Godly examples such as yourself, that time is our most precious commodity and that we must use it well, because time waits on nobody, and time will never stop as long as we are here. Thank you for sharing your testimony with us! Blessings to you my fellow heavenly citizen! Nolan |

Nolan, my heart is warmed by your kind response to my little "meditation" about the time factor in our lives. The unspeakably evil events of 9/11 speak to all of us about the fragility of our lives on this earth, no matter our age. We have no promise that we will ever see again the sunrise we saw this morning, but we who know the Son do have the promise that we will see Him. In the meantime, just for today, we have no reason to waste our precious gift of time in fear or worry and every reason to be a joyful Christian and serve the Lord, because "this is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24). --Hank | ||||||
