Great post inmyheart. I agree with what you have provided here - it is indeed dangerous to attach sweeping generalities to our thinking, especially since God responds to each of us PERSONALLY! Don't you think we forget about the permissive will of God at times? We focus on what we want to see (God is loving, good, etc) and forget that in the justice of God, the consequences of sin are still operational . . . read Romans 8:18-22. Beth Moore made a great remark that I believe is so appropriate when we consider our circumstances and God's will. She said something like this: "If God removes the thorn it is to demonstrate His supremacy; and if He allows it to remain, it is to demonstrate His sufficiency." Wise woman! As believers, we would do well to remember that it is ALL about God! (And what a privilege is is that He would choose to work through us!) Blessings on your day! mommapbs |
