1 | 1. Is God sovereign? 2.) Free Will? | Job 1:8 | G. Preston | 233112 | ||
Doc, I suggest when incomplete quotes are used it is out of context and can be misleading. In context the quote would be; "If you wish to reject that assertion...please give me your opinion of why G-d created satan?" Am I to conclude that you reject the assertion? I can address your additional commentary later. |

Dear G, It would be exceedingly cumbersome to quote your entire post in order to give you the proper context, and it would complicate addressing single components of any given post. Posts are in chronologically arranged threads. Son, you continue to bring up a false dichotomy: there is more to questioning an assertion than accepting or rejecting it. How can you expect anyone to go on to that next step lacking references to something more than just G. Preston's "common sense" as a basis of authority? If this much-referenced "common sense" is producing such fundamental failures in rhetoric, it will not persuade or instruct. Indeed, it will begin to serve as a flag of which posts in which to minimize our attention. We are open to what you have heard taught. We just want them in the context of the purpose for which the forum exists. Furthermore, for your benefit, they should have a more sure foundation. In Him, Doc |
