1 | I agree, but I also have a question | Revelation | Morant61 | 18715 | ||
Greetings Casiv! It is most likely that Rev. 1:10 refers to the Christian day of worship (Sunday). The phrase "Day of the Lord," refering to end time events, is the Greek phrase 'hemera tou kuriou.' While the phrase "Lord's Day" in Rev. 1:10 is the Greek phrase 'kuriaka hemera.' Thus, it is definitely possible (even likely) that the 7 churches refer to real churches at the time of John's writting. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Yes Tim, the churches were in Johns time but you are to take the mind of christ(spiritually) remember and the book of Revelation is prophetic not historical in the understanding of the scripture. As for the Christian day of worship as Sunday, you are either in Christ all the time, everyday or you are not. The day is today and everyday not just Sunday. Some even think the day is Saturday and they call themselves Christians too, are they wrong? Where does it say we must worship on Sunday? |
