Greetings to you, first of all God's law never changes. What He said then still applies today. 2Corinthians 13:11b says for us to "live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. God's purpose for man is to forgive as He forgives. Yes there's many horrible things that can happen in a marriage, especially when God is not in the center of the relationship. Self centered, jealously and other traits as can be very harmful in a relationship, and if you mix that with alcohol or drugs, that's dynamite ready to explode. Whaterver your situation I pray that if you are in that relationship, that you will seek Godly council and safe shelter until the situation is under control. In some cases of abuse, the abuser is in someway crying out for help. May the God of peace guide you. |
