1 | what does Mark 8:27-38 verses mean | Mark | lionheart | 142365
I will agree that Satan was involved with Jesus eventual crucifixion. The gospels mention satan entering the heart of Judas Iscariot, but thats about it. Your right on the button with Acts 2:23. 1 Corinthians 2:6-9 makes it even clearer. In Christ, lionheart |

2 | what does Mark 8:27-38 verses mean | Mark | cherylg | 142562
I might (for the sake of the argument) say that Satan's "big huge" mistake was letting Christ be crucified and NOT being involved at that point. His dirty deed was accomplished in Eden. Matthew 16:21-23 shows Jesus telling the disciples God's plan that He be killed and then raised to life, and in verse 22 he rebukes Peter, who says that this could never happen, by calling him Satan (who is ever interested in messing up God's plan for redemption of man). However, Luke does mention that Satan entered Judas (22:3).....so it's likely I'm wrong (although nothing ever happens that God doesn't allow and this may have been part of the bigger picture). What's important is not quarrelling about matters which don't matter, but rather what we ourselves do with the knowledge and belief we have of Christ's death, resurrection, and the inpouring of the Holy Spirit. |
