Hello tkt, You may read the Law in Leviticus chapter 18 to discern what relationships are forbidden. But the Bible example we have to learn from shows that it would be no closer than first cousins. I have also studied into Abrahams relation to Sarah, and I believe she was Abrahams brother Terah's daughter, which would have made her Abrahams niece. And Foxworthy joked about rednecks going to family reunions to find a mate. Well, maybe they were rednecks, and God loved them and blessed them. wordoer |

Hi, Wordoer... Why wouldn't we accept at face value what the Scripture says? Indeed, the understanding that Sarah was Abraham's half-sister is held in orthodoxy.
