Bible Question: What does the Bible say about marriage among relatives like cousins's son and daughter....? How far should be the relationship to be allowed to get married? |
Bible Answer: Hello tkt, You may read the Law in Leviticus chapter 18 to discern what relationships are forbidden. But the Bible example we have to learn from shows that it would be no closer than first cousins. I have also studied into Abrahams relation to Sarah, and I believe she was Abrahams brother Terah's daughter, which would have made her Abrahams niece. And Foxworthy joked about rednecks going to family reunions to find a mate. Well, maybe they were rednecks, and God loved them and blessed them. wordoer |
