1 | Remember the Sabbath; when? | Gen 1:1 | EdB | 90117
Graceful You know exactly what I was addressing. Your statement was that you can know you were in the right place because of the manifestations. Your telling another person how to judge a church and I'm telling you manifestations prove nothing and why. Before you offer advice to people you need to be sure it is the right advice. Remember if we assume the role of a teacher we will be judged with a much harsher standard than those than don't. James 3:1 EdB |

I was telling schmythe that I believed the sabbath worship (Saturday)under the New Covenant is not required. You should not insinuate that I believe experience trumps the Word when my posts have many times proven otherwise. God bless |

3 | Remember the Sabbath; when? | Gen 1:1 | EdB | 90184
Graceful This is what you said! "I agree...I was born again in a church that worships on Sunday, so I know the Holy Spirit was there. His Spirit led me to a church that worships on Sunday, and I know He would not lead me to a place of 'sin'. I know experience does not trump the Word, but when one finds God manifesting His presence in a worship service on Sunday, one must conclude He is OK with it!" I think you did say if there are manifestations then God has to be okay with it. To me that is saying manifestations prove something. I pointed out even the Mormons have manifestations and Jesus would tells those that manifestations proved something to depart from him as they weren't part of him. Now shuffle it any way you like that is what you said. EdB |

I am done with this conversation Ed..we both need to move on. God bless |

Graceful What is the problem with my conclusion? How come everytime I narrow you down you run? Are you not seeking the truth? Or is it your intent to come on this forum just to spread your WOF teaching. Put the statement in context and tell me you said something different than you did. Let's look at what you said. "I agree...I was born again in a church that worships on Sunday, so I know the Holy Spirit was there. His Spirit led me to a church that worships on Sunday, and I know He would not lead me to a place of 'sin'. I know experience does not trump the Word, but when one finds God manifesting His presence in a worship service on Sunday, one must conclude He is OK with it!" I then said the Mormons believe they are born again, they believe the Holy Spirit is in their church. They believe the Holy Spirit lead them to their church. They "know" God would never lead them to a place of sin, yet that is where we find them. And finally “I know manifestations don't trump the Word but one finds God manifesting his presence in worship ... one must conclude God is okay with it.” Again the Mormons believe the presence of God is in every one of their services. The have a burning in the bosom that tells them this. They have many miraculous miracles yet we know they are not children of God. All your criteria for telling if your in the right church is duplicated in false churches. The only way to know if your in the right church is whether or not it lines up with the true word of God. Not whether is seems right, feels right, looks right, makes you have chill bumps, or even miraculous signs. If the TRUE word of God RIGHTLY DIVIDED isn't being taught then in the words of Paul let it be accursed. That my dear friend is where you and I have our problem. The teaching you hold to doesn’t rightly divide the word of God. EdB |

.” Again the Mormons believe the presence of God is in every one of their services." AGAIN...that is NOT what I base my faith on either... God bless |

No Ed, it's what you heard. In context of my other posts? Not so.... Now you may totally explain your entire belief system in a single post, but I do not always accomplish that feat. Again this is the major problem in communications, Trying to make someone a liar or prove their theology is all wrong by taking a single statement, excluding all others. This is the same thing Hank Hannagraff did in his book. God bless |

Graceful I did not do this you did. You used this statement for proof that Sunday worship was okay. I'm not taking it out of context and it might not be what you mean but it is in fact exactly what you said in answer to a question. I added nor substracted anything from it. I even gave you the a chance to explain what you meant. All you would have had to say was I over simplified the my answer what I meant was ... Instead you wanted to argue the validity of the answer and when that didn't work you wanted to claim I took it out of context. Then you attack an author you have not read. Sounds like you speak from a place of wisdom with an open mind looking and desiring the truth. Not! EdB |
