1 | Trinity Doctrine? | Bible general Archive 2 | ddaugherty | 107617
Good questions... Although, I am not a theologian, hopefully this will answer your question. The first things to acknowledge (or understand) is this. God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are one. I am not trying to preach the trinity to you but, hopefully to help you understand. Once the diciples asked Christ that if they could see the face of God as Moses did, it would help them believe better. Jesus told them that by looking into His face they are seeing the face of God. In Acts 19:4-6 Paul said, "...John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus." On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them..." So in knowing this, is it not wise to assume that the three are truly one? I am sure there are more supporting verses in the bible that others will show you. These are the ones that stand out in my mind. |

2 | What is God saying in this verse? | Gen 3:15 | ddaugherty | 107633
Prior to this verse, GEN 3:14 - So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. " So in that following verse, yes God was talking about the coming of Jesus Christ. GAL 4:4-5 states - "But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons." |

3 | GOSPEL OR SECULAR MUSIC WHICH ONE ; WHY | Eph 5:19 | ddaugherty | 107613
This is strictly my opinion as I listen to nearly ALL music. Although Ephesians 5:19 says to "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord...", I am fairly certain that all music (that which doesn't promote hate, violence, etc. or that promotes non-secular beliefs (against God and the bible)) is fine. I look at it this way... if it makes you happy, peaceful and full of joy then there is no harm. We can listen to any music and still sing praises of the Lord in our hearts, in our souls and in our minds. Again, these are just my personal thoughts on this. |
