Hi Davidmein, That’s an easy one! Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Your are likely looking for the wrong things in your life to get you going in the right direction? Romans 3:10-12 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Hi Justme, If one responds to the following verse then they don’t have to be concerned with their age, the Lord will take them home when their mission for Him is over! Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. 543 | Praying to Jesus in Jesus' name? | NT general | CDBJ | 222019
Greetings Nextman and welcome to the forum. We are only to pray to the Father as Jesus commanded in the model prayer. Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. So in essence we pray to the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of the Son. Greetings and welcome to the forum. You might be thinking of the following that was spoken by Paul before his departure. 2 Tim. 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 546 | does this mean a person is unforgiven | NT general | CDBJ | 222581
Greetings, These verses; Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. These verses are pointing out the futility of the thinking of some believers that assume they can fall away and then be, as it were, resaved. The verses in Hebrews are saying it’s impossible because they would have to actually crucify Christ a second time which is impossible. It is actually the epitome of arrogance to assume that one could commit a sin so great that Jesus didn’t pay for it by what He did on the cross! It’s like saying He didn’t think of it or something along that line. CDBJ |

548 | sined asked forgivness | NT general | CDBJ | 222600
Greetings, That doesn’t mean you lost your salvation, what it means is that you were out of fellowship and missed out on numerous blessings that could have been yours but now they are gone for time and eternity. Since Hebrews is the book of discussion consider this; Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Many time we do thing that a responsible son shouldn’t do but we are sons none the less because we are born of the father. (We don’t have to ask God if He will forgive us,) He has already told us that he would if we will do our part and name the sins to Him. It’s our responsibility to confess the sins that we have committed in order to be reinstated to a place of fellowship therefore not quenching of grieving the Spirit. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The word “confess” comes to us from the Koine Greek word “HOMOLOGEO” and it means to site as in a courtroom case and admit to the guilt. God say that if we own up to our disobedience that He will forgive us due to the basis of His character; it all points to grace!!!!!! We are not always faithful but God is and He is just in forgiving us because of what Jesus did for our sins. God doesn’t forgive on the basis of our actions but because of His grace and what His Son did for us. It pays to keep short accounts with the Lord and stay in a position of continuous fellowship. 1 John 1:4-10 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: Some of the most miserable people in the world are believers out of fellowship while some of the happiest people in the world are believers in fellowship. 2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Greetings, Could you please show me the verses in the Bible where angles help us with our prayers to God the Father? I know the Holy Spirit helps us but I didn’t know about the angels performed this duty. Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. I was always under the impression that it was the Holy Spirit that saved us. Ephes. 1:12-13 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Have a great day, CDBJ |

552 | Atonement | NT general | CDBJ | 229245
The fact of the matter is we are all dead spiritually in God’s eyes because of dear old Adam. 1 Cor. 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Christ came into the world to be our substitute and take the punishment; the punishment that we will receive if we don’t trust in His finished work on the cross. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. The last verse is only effective if one places all of their hope for eternal life is the person of Jesus Christ. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. A person doesn’t have to die to find out if the will have eternal life, God’s Word tells us now and it’s a sure thing! John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. That pretty much sums it up; if one fully trusts in Jesus they have eternal life right here and now; the moment one trust in Christ He indwells them from that point on. 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Have you come to that place yet in your life or is that something you are working on? CDBJ |

553 | God sees us through the blood of Jesus | NT general | CDBJ | 229394
Greetings and welcome to the forum. I’m afraid your question can’t be answered with Scripture in those exact words. The following is referred to as positional truth; notice the word “IN”. It is as though God sees Christ and we are secure in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (New King James Version) 5:21 (NKJV) For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. It’s because of the finished work of Christ that we are able to come to the Father but only when we put our “entire faith” and hope for eternal life in the person of Jesus Christ. When this is done we are accepted in the beloved. Ephesians 1:6 (New King James Version) 1:6 (NKJV) to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved. Ephesians 2:8-9 (New King James Version) 2:8 (NKJV) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. If the object of our faith is anything other then Jesus Christ all of our faith and or religious activity is in vain and the result will be “eternal separation” from God. Romans 6:23 (New King James Version) 6:23 (NKJV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. It isn’t until we place our entire faith in Christ that God grant to us the privilege of knowing for sure that we have eternal life. Those that don’t have this assurance aren’t fully trusting in Jesus and therefore they don’t have the Holy Spirit as a proof or witness. 1 John 5:10-13 (New King James Version) 5:10 (NKJV) He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Faith in Jesus Christ for salvation is based on what He did for us not what we do for Him. John 20:30-31 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. 1 John 5:10-13 He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Let the Lord clean up your life as He sees fit, all you are asked to do is have faith an trust in what He did for you not what we do for Him: the Father isn’t impressed with what we do for Him, He is only impressed with what Jesus did for you on the cross!!!!!!! Read the book of John through about three times and as you read ask the Lord to show you the truth. CDBJ |

555 | Exodus 12:14-20 | NT general | CDBJ | 230593
Greetings, You are putting restrictions on yourself that have been taken care of by Christ Himself; consider the following. Col. 2:10-23 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. 18Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. 20Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21(Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. Greetings and welcome to the forum. I believe you might be looking for Acts 9:36-40 Acts 9:36-40 (KJV) 36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. 37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. 38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. 39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. 40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. I hope you enjoy the forum, CDBJ |

559 | where in John that god live as a human w | NT general | CDBJ | 234953
Greetings and welcome to the forum. The answer to your question is found in the very first chapter of John. John 1:1-12 (NASB) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. 6 There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. 9 There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, You might want to follow this with a portion of the book called Hebrews Hebrews 1:1-8 (NASB) 1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, 2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. 3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they. 5 For to which of the angels did He ever say, "YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU"? And again, "I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIM AND HE SHALL BE A SON TO ME"? 6 And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, "AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM." 7 And of the angels He says, "WHO MAKES HIS ANGELS WINDS, AND HIS MINISTERS A FLAME OF FIRE." 8 But of the Son He says, "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM. God is one in essence but manifested in three distinct in personalities, The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. |

560 | Do you go to heaven right when you die | NT general | CDBJ | 235570
Hi Jeep1 and I would like to welcome you to the forum. I believe the answer to your question lies within the text of the original language in the Koine Greek of the New Testament. This is where Paul explains exactly what you are asking. 2 Corinthians 5:8 (NKJV) 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. What Paul is expressing is that when our soul separates from our present body it will be escorted instantly to our new home with Christ. The words, to be present in the Koine Greek is the pronoun “PROS” and it is used in the accusative case which means actually, FACE TO FACE with the Lord. i.e. The first thing we will see is Jesus right there in front of us! Psalm 116:15 (NKJV) 15 Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His saints. It’s like a big WELCOME home son. The sleep aspect “for the believer in Christ” is a reference to their body which they will receive a new one being glorious and like the one Jesus has, at His return. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 (NKJV) 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. The dead “IN” Christ is a reference to the believer’s old body which will be raised incorruptible, it died in corruption but will be raised in incorruption. The soul which was residing with Christ will be reunited with a perfect body. We have no idea exactly how we shall be but this we are promised. 1 John 3:2 (NKJV) 2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. This action takes place on the earth, where the problem all started. Have a great day, CDBJ |
