Hi Cristy, You might want to ask your Aunt this question for starters. Do you know why the book of John, which is in the Bible, was written? Read her the verses right out of the Bible. John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: [31] But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Be sure and expound on the person of Jesus and who He is and why he came to Earth in the first place. In simple English: Jesus came to Earth to pay a debt he didn’t owe because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay! Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. I believe that the most fantastic truth in the Bible is found in the following verses. God tells us in His Word that we can know, without a doubt, that we have eternal life, before we die, because Jesus is God’s answer for eternal life. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. God was perfectly satisfied with the price paid by His Son Jesus and to prove it, He brought Jesus back to life and seated Him at His own right-hand on the throne of God. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. God tell us if we will trust and rely on what He did for us in the person of Jesus, He will give us eternal life as a gift. That’s a gift that’s free for the asking! Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ask your Aunt if she would like to trust and rely on Jesus and have Him come into her life right now and give her the gift of eternal life? If so; ask her to thank God the Father for sending Jesus into the world and for pay her debt, and ash her to say it in her own word. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Jesus is the answer to eternal life and the power of God that saves souls because of what Jesus did on the cross for us. 1 Cor. 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. Show her in the Bible the verses that have just been mentioned so she can see it for herself and know God’s Word promises it. Have a great day, CDBJ |

Hi Starfire, My best advice to you would be to find a “Good Christian Lawyer” and listen to his counsel. Probably the only way to do that would be through a good local Bible believing church; the forum isn’t designed to give advice along those lines! CDBJ |

443 | number of angels in the bible | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 175706
Greetings lilstewart, and welcome to the forum. There a literally thousands of angels but we only know the names of several of them both good and bad. Jesus is speaking in the next verse. Matthew 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? Roman history shows that there were anywhere from 3,000 to 6,000 men in a legion. Assuming that everything that Jesus spoke was truth and it is, it could have been, if my math is correct, up to 72,000 angels at a moments notice and that was likely only the ones that weren’t in gauged in other activity at the time. The actual number or count of all the angels is probably astronomically huge! Have a great day, CDBJ |

444 | you can handle the trouble ? | NT general Archive 1 | CDBJ | 175429
Greetings and welcome to the forum, It hard to say what others had in mind when they suggested to you, as you put it, “God will not give me more than I can handle.” This is the verse that comes to mind, 1 Cor. 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. I’d like to point out though that it isn’t God that’s dishing “it” out as it were; he is the one providing the support that we can endure through “it” and hold up under the pressure by applying the correct Bible doctrine to the problem so that “it” doesn’t progress. James 1:12-15 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. [13] Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: [14] But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. [15] Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. I hope you enjoy the forum, CDBJ |

445 | rapture or tribulation? | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 175283
Greetings SuQ and welcome to the forum, It’s quite obvious and most all students of the Bible will agree with the following. 1 Thes. 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, The saving of ones soul isn’t the issue here but a rescue out from under the wrath of God, which as scripture states is fire. 2 Thes. 1:7-8 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, [8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: The problem for the believer will be trying to endure the tribulation that Satan’s man will be dishing out to the members of God’s family. Those that are able to exercise the trying of their faith will be removed just before the Lord decides it’s enough and strikes back. Rev. 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. We know that the salvation of the soul is dependent on faith in Christ “not endurance”; so the previous verse is again speaking about rescue out from trouble: the same circumstance is further taught by Paul. Tribulation can be from different sources biblically speaking. Satan can inflect tribulation through his world system and the Lord can inflect tribulation as well in response to those that have been troubling God’s loved ones. Paul is speaking here, 2 Thes. 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Believers in God’s Messiah have never, collectively, had to endure what they will have to endure in the coming years when Satan’s man of sin will be calling the shots in the world system. 2 Thes. 2:7-9 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. [8] And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, Jesus warned about this event. Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. That warning is for believers only; the “unbelievers” on the side of Satan’s man are going to be saying, “peace and safety” and believing all of his lies. 1 Thes. 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. They are sure that they have the bull by the tail and every thing is going in their favor; then a situation transpires and the objects of their persecution, believers, are miraculously snatched away, “the rapture”. It happens so fast that they won’t even have time to catch a second breath. No left behind luster when this happens, Luke 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. The word “They” represents the unbeliever, “Noe” represents the believer who was raised in the ark just as we will be raised at the rapture before God’s wrath is poured out. Have a great day, CDBJ |

446 | Why did my mom die? | Ephesians | CDBJ | 175045
Hi Vince, I’m very sorry to hear about you loosing your mom. It’s interesting to know that this life is only the beginning when it comes to eternity. Do to sin that is in the world there are certain things that are set in motion that can’t be stopped until the Lord returns. God has provided a solution, in the person of Christ, that will take care of our soul and spirit in the next phase of life; the phase that your mother has just entered. 1 Thes. 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. [14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I would like to share a poem with you that I put together a while back while noticing a sweet believer grieving over the loss of a loved one. I’m not sure how the format will look but I’m sure you will be able to figure it out. A Voice From Beyond I've passed into a better place of which there is no pain. So loved one keep your grieving short, your loss has been my gain. My state is far much better then the one that you behold. It's the hope that I've been looking for in the days when I’d grow old Though grief may oft consume you with thoughts about our past, Life must go, so please be strong, this grieving will not last. This place is awe inspiring, with much array to view. I've been so overwhelmed with it, I've hardly thought of you. My first day on location I was anything but bored, My first known recollection, I was looking at the Lord. The colors are fantastic, beyond your wildest dreams. Ensuing from His throne on high, an emerald rainbow streams. Enough about my bliss for now, the problem's you're forlorn, And how to rectify the day, from which our love was torn. The secret to life’s happiness is not all that absurd. It’s found with-in the Mighty Script of God’s Eternal Word. So keep yourself in hope I ask, make the Bible your main quest, And the Lord will surely comfort you, and put your heart at rest. Make sure my love of which you trust, in abundance of profession. It must be Jesus, not the church, to support your strong confession. Finally love with much ado, use not your loss for scorning. Weeping may endure the night, but joy cometh in the morning. CDBJ |

447 | HELP me! dear JESUS! | Ps 46:1 | CDBJ | 175039
Greetings, After you put “all of your hope for eternal life” in the person and works of God’s Son Jesus, did you at some point in time, after that, respond to the following verses? Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. CDBJ |

448 | Inspired contradictions? | Romans | CDBJ | 175037
Lenpaul, What good does it do me to answer your questions and try to form a dialog with you when you ignore my response and completely change the subject with your reply; it makes me feel like a non entity! Let’s try and start over if you would please? Maybe you could answer one of my questions, and only you personally have the answer for this one? I will change it up a little from the last time I ask, in my previous post. Question: With all of the time you’ve spent studying the Bible, have you come to the place yet, in your spiritual understanding, where you can say “for certain” that you have the guarantee of eternal life with God in heaven? Hi Vilmain3 and I hope you enjoy the forum, Many verses of Scripture have types and antitypes and I am sure that this verse could be applied to some degree. I know one thing for sure, I fully agree with the author of the Psalm! I doubt if those spoken of in Psalm 83 were as cowardly as those assaulting Israel to day. Brave warriors don’t hide in amongst a woman and her children and innocent people for their protection. Have a nice day, CDBJ |

451 | KEEPING THE SABBATH HOLY | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 174969
Greetings wfoster and welcome to the forum, Type in the word Sabbath in the search section on the right side of the home page and you can spend hours reading about answers to your question. A quick response: Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Have you experienced yet the freedom that this verse speaks of, i.e. being in Christ Jesus? If you could please ask and answer questions using the lower case it sure would make it easer for everyone to read. When a person types, using all caps, it seem like they’re shouting at us, if you get my drift! I hope you have a lot fun on the forum, CDBJ |

452 | HELP | Ps 46:1 | CDBJ | 174946
Hi Corin, The thing that really impresses God is what His Son did for you! If you want to do something for God the Bible tells you what it is. Don’t get on an “emotional jag” all that does is confuse the issue and God isn’t impressed with those that place feelings over knowledge. i.e tears and such; God wants us to grow in knowledge not emotions! There was a group of people that wanted to do something for God, they felt compelled to do something; look what Jesus told them to do. John 6:28-29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? [29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. (Here is the most important question you will ever answer!) Have you come to the point yet in your life where you know for certain that you have eternal life guaranteed; is heaven a sure thing for you? Please be truthful with yourself and answer this, if you can, in your own words. ------------------- CDBJ |

Greetings, In your previous post you mentioned the following, “Col 3:11, "but Christ is all and in all." Keeping all of that portion of Scriptures in context it reads, Col. 3:10-11 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: [11] Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Could you please share with us how you personally experienced this in your life? 2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Hello Pukalanian, I’ve read all of your posting so why don’t we just cut to the chase! You evidently don’t believe what the Bible says, but regardless of how we as humans got in the mess that we find ourselves in, how do you propose the situation be corrected? Since we are all on a collision course with physical death and the judgment of God, what is the recommended action needed to solve the problem or don’t you believe we even have a problem? Have you come to the place yet in your life where you are sure that you know God’s plan for you to be in heaven. 459 | Fasting | Colossians | CDBJ | 174375
Greetings corin, It seems as though you might have gotten some bad information from someone because you suggest that one might be able to literally bribe God and get him to respond by our doing something advantageous. The last part of your question; “What shall we do while fasting in order to get the best result from God?” The Christian way of life is strictly one of grace; we can’t earn or deserve anything from God! Col. 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Do you understand God’s plan and his mercy and grace in salvation? Have a great day, CDBJ |
