34226 | Did God know Abraham feared him before h | Rev 3:15 | ManolyD | 66189
I've always understood that God knows all things. I wonder why he told Abraham "for now I know that you fear God" Gen. 22:12. Or why would He be sorry about something if he knew it was going to happen. Gen. 6:6.
34227 | Rivers near Laodecia | Rev 3:15 | sherwoodbiblefellowship@juno.com | 70803
I have heard that when Jesus said what He said to the church about being neither hot nor cold, He was referring to two rivers which flow together near Laodicea, one being cold water, the other being warm. Any knowledge of such a thing - knowledge that can be verified, rather than simply repeated from what "someone" else said? Thanky.
34228 | are we free? | Rev 3:16 | kevinmal | 7802
Just opened my Bible at Galatians 5 and the heading is keep your freedom. It made me think are we really free here in the western world or is it we more like we like to think we are. It says that Christ made us free, I am really going for it with God and have found that there is a lot of opposition from those that said they wanted me to express how i feel about the vision that God laid on my heart. Why is it that people want to know what is precious to you and then turn round and try to destroy that vision. Is it that we are more concerned about controlling than we are about encouraging each other. I have found that as I have met other Chrisitian each Sunday as I look for a new place to worship. They are kind and loving, I just wonder if it will be the same if I settle in one place. Are we so afraid of what God is doing in each individual? I am so thankful that God loves us all. Thismorning just think about it. He loves you and me so much. That thought will carry me through every single day of my life. What a privilage it is to be part of His Kingdom and to be able to speak freely and openly about how I feel about His love and compassion. And how wonderful it is to feel the wonderful effect of His GRACE. Your Friend IN CHRIST Kevin |

34229 | Rev 3:16 lukewarm | Rev 3:16 | zach†| 34763
In Rev. 3:16 does "lukewarm' mean complacency? Could it be speaking about someone, or some church who is cooling down spiritually? Could it be referring to a person, or church who was once on fire for the Lord, but is not any longer hot, but lukewarm and in danger of becoming cold? Or could it be referring to someone or some church, who began in the faith, but is no longer progressing and who are not experiencing an increase in the spiritual climate or temperature within the body of believers? Or _______________ you fill in the blank In Christ zach†|

34237 | Why woe the rich and well-fed? | Rev 3:17 | KamanUCI | 29732
My Question is with reguards of Luke 6:24-26. 24 "But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. 25 Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. 26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets." I looked up in the dictionary that woe means sorrow. Why should sorrow be given to the rich, the well-fed and ones of good reputation? Was Jesus talking about the rich, well-fed and ones of good reputation in the general case or to those that were listening to Him at the time, either way I don't understand why "woe" be to them. |
