Bible Question: In 1 Corinthians 7:1-39, is there any reference made that a man must ask the fathers permission to marry his daughter? Also, in the same passage, is there any reference made in that a daughter must allow her father to be in the wedding?? I want fact not opinion, please. |
Bible Answer: Greetings Realtor5600! The answer to your question is "No!". The facts are as follows: The word 'father' never occurs once in 1 Cor. 7:1-39. These practices are both tradition and common sense, but not Biblical commands. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
