Bible Question: Thank You for your answer! I have another question, however. I do believe that we should obey the laws of our land. What about Christians in other countries that have different laws? Some countries don't have laws that agree with what the Bible teaches. So what then do they do...aside from those countries where it is illegal to even be a Christian? |
Bible Answer: I presume you are asking this in reference to marriage ... when Jesus spoke and the NT was written, Rome ruled. Their view on marriage was very loose, due in part to the Greek influence. They said it was okay for one man to be married to one woman, but then went beyond what the Bible said. When people became Christians under Rome, they had to give up some practices. In Afghanistan and Bhutan it is illegal to be a Christian ... and other places. But, would you sacrifice your soul so that you have live phyiscally? |
