Bible Question (short): Governing Authorities |
Question (full): According to Rom 13:1, we have to be in subjection to the governing authorities. The reasons given are all governing authorities are established by God and their authorities are orginated from God. My questions are: 1. What are the background when Paul wrote the above verse? 2. Why God sometimes establish governing authorities which are against God (e.g. countries that worhship ideols)? 3. If the governing authorities are against God, why have we to be in subjection to these authorities? How can we live under and respond to the foregoing authorities? |
