Personal profile for user screen name: Janice C. I am the age of 47, and grew up around Kaufman County, Texas. My profession is word processing for a major law firm in downtown Dallas, and have also been a legal secretary. I belong to the Church of Christ, and visit various Church of Christ congregations in and around East Texas. While growing up, we always spent summer vacations visiting my mother's family in Henry County, Tennessee, and we attended Sunday services at Springville Church of Christ. Life is humble and simple in Springville, and the folks there are the finest. Whenever I hear the hymnal, "Church in the Wildwood" I think of Springville Church--a small rural congregation which is where my heart is. My father's family is from Pike County, Kentucky where I recently visited for the first time in 20 years--God's country. Folks there are just as good and humble. Most of my entire adult life has been on shaky ground where the Lord is concerned--giving in to ways of the world--hatred, unforgiving, but mostly a life of reveling, knowing full well where I would spend eternity should I die. For the past couple of years, I have taken religion more seriously than ever before. I pray everdyay for strength and a sincere heart. And, a big thank you in advance for all those on this Bible forum who help me overcome feelings of doubt and discouragement I am unable to rid on my own, and find the way. God bless you all.(The above information has been submitted by the author for use solely by the StudyBibleForum.com) |
