Personal profile for user screen name: jude2425 At this point in time I am 50 something, pushing 60. Married for 16 years to a beautiful women with a loving and generous spirit. She is truly a gift from my creator.I was raised R.Catholic. Went through all the rituals and proceeded to live a totally worldly lifestyle. I was taught all about Jesus, but I didn't KNOW Him. I had no idea and no one ever told me that I could know Him in an intimate and personal way. After years of serious personal struggles, including but not limited to alcohol abuse and a failed first marriage, I heard the gospel preached clearly and concisely. I understood for the first time, that the burden I was carrying was my own sin, and through this condition I was an enemy of God. And that I could never save myself or be reconciled to God through my own self-righteous efforts. I knew at that point I needed a Savior, and that Savior is God Himself, coming to earth clothed in human flesh, to live the perfect life in my place, then becoming my sin bearer, the perfect sacrificial Lamb without spot or blemish, pouring out His precious blood on my behalf on Calvarys cross, suffering the penalty of death that I deserved. Raising from the grave and is seated in the place of prominence at the right hand of the Father to make intercession for me. Giving me a hope and a future. Offering me the free gift of eternal life. So on Dec. 27, 1990, I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and to be my Lord and Savior. And I just have to tell you what a wonderful walk it has be thus far, not that I haven't done or said something stupid at times, but I know He will never leave me or forsake me, He continues to love me, teach me, and guide me by His Spirit, and by His word. So each new day I praise Him and thank Him that He didn't give up on me. This is why Jude24,25 are just a couple of my most favorite verses. My hearts desire is to continue to grow in the grace and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Shalom to all.(The above information has been submitted by the author for use solely by the StudyBibleForum.com) |
