3 | Past or future tense? | Is 53:9 | jude2425 | 86378
Shalom Timla6, In response to your first question the answer is yes, this is considered one of many messianic prophesies. To your second question, remember this is the word of God. God is eternal, He knows the end from the beginning and according to Him all of this is already accomplished. I suggest you read Jn 1:1-14, and the book of Colossians. Then proceed as The Spirit leads you. I think then this all will become clear to you. Prayfully ask The Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to you through His word. I hope this will help you in your study. In Christ, jude2425 |

6 | Prove all things hold fast to the good.. | 1 Cor 15:1 | jude2425 | 85533
Shalom Goodnewsminister, Do you subscribe to the teachings of Herbert W. Armstrong? Because if you do, I'm sorry it is you who ought to practice what you preach and prove all things, because Dr. Armstrong taught a false gospel and a false Christ. The living church of god is an offshoot of the old World Wide Church of God. I pray that you will delve into the scripture and ask The Holy Spirit, Who is God by the way ,not an impersonal it as Dr. Armstrong taught, to lift the scales from your eyes that you may see clearly that "the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of the soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Heb 4:12. We all haved transgressed the law of God, and we all need a Savior and His name is Jesus, God incarnate, Who lived the perfect life in our place, And became our sinless blameless, unblemished, atoning sacrifice. "There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Act 3:12b. and "For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." 1Cor 3:11. 7 | Can the tongue be tamed? | Prov 21:23 | jude2425 | 84723
Shalom God's Angel, It is true that the tongue can surely be unruly, but one sign of maturing in the faith is the ability to control ones tongue. When we realize the good things that come from whole-some speech, such as praising God, preaching the word, building others up, words of comfort, these are only a few things that whole-some speech can accomplish, verses the bad things that can come from unwhole-some speech, such as lying, gossip, slander, tearing down, blasphemy. So the tongue can be a healing balm or seasoned with bitterness, but by submitting to God, fellowshipping with Him, and studying His word the tongue can be tamed. The book of James is a New Testament book of wisdom, it also addresses the taming of the tongue in chapter 3 and other topics. I hope this answers your question. In Christ, jude2425 |

8 | Prov.1:7 | Ps 19:9 | jude2425 | 84702
Shalom wmssh, Wisdom according to scripture seems to be two fold, 1st is the insight into the true nature of things, and 2nd the ability to discern modes of action with a view to their results. a good example is in 1Kings 3:7-9,4:29-34, 2Chron1:10-12. Fearing the LORD or The fear of the LORD, is an OT expression refering to reverencing God through trusting Him. This phrase is used in many forms in the OT. A few are Ps19:9,Dt6:13,Jos4:24. I hope this info helps. In Christ, jude2425 |

9 | In the book of Matthew, who are the goat | Matt 24:1 | jude2425 | 84686
Shalom Scribe, This part of scripture is considered the Olivet Discourse and is the response of Jesus to the disciples two questions. When will the end come, and what will be the signs of your (Christ's) coming again? It also seems that the part of scripture you are focusing on is when Jesus returns, He will gather the nations together and judge the individual people of those nations. which are gentiles, Saved (sheep), Unsaved (goats). And the brothers spoken of by Jesus are the people of Israel. This seems to be a judgement of the living that survived the tribulation. I hope this answers your question. In Christ, Jude2425 |

11 | What to do about my children? | John | jude2425 | 83891
Hello cisjoe. In response to your 1st question the answer is yes.(Jn3:16-18,14:6, Rom6:23). The answer to your 2nd question is no.(Heb9:27). If Indeed you are saved it is your responsibility to proclaim the truth of the gospel, but it is the Holy Spirits ministry to convict the unbeliever of sin and reveal our need to be saved.(Jn16:8-11)So my suggestion to you is, if indeed you have proclaimed the truth to them, it is now time to pray that God will soften their hearts that they might receive the message of salvation and turn from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Light and ask Jesus into their heart, to forgive them of their sins and be saved. They might be wonderful people but we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,(Rom3:23)and are in need of a savior. The answer to your last question is yes.Because baptisim does not save anyone it is an act of obedience and a public proclamation of our acceptance of Christ as our savior and aligning ourselves with the body of Christ, which is the Church. Also each person must accept Christ as their personal Savior. I hope this is helpful to you. I'll definitely be praying for you and your kids. |
