Bible Question:
Hi, I read your comments on Haman maybe not being an amalekite based on the fact that Saul killed them all except Agag. But it seems to me that Saul obviously lied because 15 chpaters later in 1st Samuel 30:1 it says that the Amalekites had invaded the south. What does this mean? thanks barryf |
Bible Answer: God's day you, barryf, Read the other thread, never mind what jonp says. Even after 1 Samuel 30, the Amalekites appear 2 Samuel 1:1,8,13; 8:12 1 Chronicles 1:36; 4:43; 18:11 Some think Haman in Esther, who is a Agagite, may have been a descent from Agag, king of the Amalekites at the time of Saul. There was a region called Agag in the Persian empire. Plus, I think Hezekiah finshed them off, based on the Scripture above. Searcher |
