Bible Question (short): putting forth their hand? |
Question (full): Shalom, brothers and sisters. In the verse 1Sam.24:10,David told Saul " I will not put forth mine hand against my lord, for he is the Lord's anointed" David told this to Saul every time David had a chance to kill Saul. Now with the teachings of the Lord in the new testament, could those words also be used when speaking against someone? In other words, since Christians are anointed by Jesus, if a person speaks slander, lies, etc. against the christian, wouldn't that be the same as putting forth their hand against the anointed of the Lord? God bless, michael |
