Bible Question:
1. An evil spirit from the Lord tormented Saul. Did God have an evil spirit. 1 Sam 19:9 2. Why the Holy Spirit is important in our dispensation? |
Bible Answer: Hello Millass, 1. God is not evil, but He allows evil to come upon us (look at Job 1-2). In this case, we can assume God allowed the evil spirit to torment Saul. 2. The Holy Spirit is important because He interacts with us differently than in the OT. He actually abides in each believer. He seals us (Eph 1:13). He intercedes for us (Rom 8:26) and guides us into truth (John 16:13). These are just a few. Steve |
