Subject: Dominion Miracles |
Bible Note: Greetings Dahammer54, First we must remember before all else, Satan is an angel and a created being. Angels are not omniscient (all knowing) nor are they omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time). All things created are under the direct authority of God (Col 1:16-17). You could do a study on angels. Your first question: "1) Where in the Bible dose God give Satin Dominion over the world" The Bible does not say that Satan has dominion over the world, some have taken this from, (2 Cor 4:4)"...god of this world". Others take it from (Gen 3:14) "...thou art cursed above all ...upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life". God has set boundaries that Satan has to abide by (Jud 1:6) "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day". Your second question: "2) AS Satan works to lead people away from Christ does he have the power to heal and do Miracles." Satan can do only what the Lord lets him do, as in the Book of Job, he can inflict the body and has the power to take life. (Job 2:6) "And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life." If Satan has the power to put something onto a person he would have the power to take that away which he put onto them, which may seem to be a miracle to some. Remember, Jesus said the he comes as an angel of light, trying to deceive those he can. But, Christ has overcome all these powers and submitted Himself to the Father by going to the cross for the sins of the world, where He showed openly by His resurrection that He had the power to restore God's creation to Himself that we might have everlasting life with Him. (Rom 8:38-39) "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." It is an interesting study and should be done. For in the study one will come away with the knowledge that in God there is freedom and not bondage and that God does what He does for His creation that love Him. Psa 37:40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him. Hope this helps, terrib |
