Subject: How much authority do leaders have? |
Bible Note: All of the things you mention are in the nature of authorities. Often they overlap. Often they overshadow. Often they interconnect. Sometimes, when I am meeting the requirements of one, I meet the requirements of others. We prioritize and so we should, but that implies choice. The real keyword is balance. For example, I might affirm that my priorities are God, Spouse, Children, etc. However, there are times when my far-better-half needs me. As I am tending to her needs, that does not mean I am denying the authority of the Lord or neglecting my children. In fact, I am instructed by the Lord to care for my wife. Even my children benefit when I do what I ought in the care of my wife. Etc. |
