Subject: belief in hell? |
Bible Note: It does bother folks that is why most Christians try to get other people saved. I believe some of the most accomplished "soul winners" are those that have internalized the realities of hell. We are not given the option of simply saying we don't believe in this or that. We are told we must rightly divide scripture.2 Tim 2:15 Which means to handle the Word of God correctly or in a straight forward manner. We are not given the luxury of being able to ignore or remove the sections that don't appeal to us. Too many claim today to be Christians but only believe the parts of Christianity that they want to believe. Some have even made their own God by taking the attributes of God they like and keeping them and discarding the parts they don't like. What they end up with in not God of Creation the God of Abraham Issac and Jacob at all but a god created by them. A false god. Hell is a reality. Jesus spoke of it often. It is woven throughout scripture. How can we say we believe Jesus just not the parts we don't agree with? It is all or nothing. |
