Bible Question: What is the biblical reference to support "once saved always saved"? |
Bible Answer: Doc offered one opinion but scripture offers another See Hebrew 6:4-6 and Hebrews 10:26-30. I think the real crux of the matter is the definition of salvation. Too many think a head knowledge of Jesus is all that is required. However if we really look into the word "believe" we find in the original language that it meant much more than simple knowledge of a fact. We must become dependent on Jesus and nothing else for our salvation. If we are truly dependent then the matter of sin will not be an issue. The question of how far can I lean off the cliff before I fall is never asked. |
