Subject: difference in a Christians funeral? |
Bible Note: I tend to agree with your view of funeral industry. I'm leaning toward cremation with no real funeral, but instead a memorial service. In the past I attended the funeral of my Grandparents and my memory of them is seeing them dead in the casket. My own parents were cremated with a memorial service and my memory of them is when I last saw them alive and living. I think you are talking of the Amish when you say Mennonite with horse and buggy. I was born and raised in Pa near Amish country and I'm very familar with them. Many in background (great grand parents) were Mennonite and while they held close belief with the Amish they all drove cars and used electricity. I will say you will not get a finer coffin than one built by Amish craftsman. |
