Subject: choosing a church? |
Bible Note: Thank you, halroy, for taking the time to reply. I wasn't asking that you render an answer to these questions to me. I was suggesting that how you answer them should necessarily predicate your search for a church. When you adequately understand your own doctrinal position, you'll be ready to find some sort of alignment with the churches around you. Your responses suggest to me that you'll not be interested in a confessional church. That makes your task more difficult. Some non-confessional churches will have a "statement of faith." However, such statements are, generally, less than exhaustive. (This is often by intent, since avoiding explicit doctrinal positions allows a church to have a broader appeal; e.g., the Lakewood Church in Texas, Crystal Cathedral in California, etc.) Now you're ready to narrow down your search.
