Bible Question:
I'm trying to find the scripture that instructs us to meet the needs of those we have opportunity to share the word of God. Basically, it states that before we can share the Word of God, we must find out what their needs are and meet those needs. example of mission work...many are hungry and scripture we direct us to feed these individuals first, and then they would be receptive to the Word. Thank you |
Bible Answer: godsavs, In principle this can be sound, but in many cases not doable and there will betimes we can do that. Take a look at the Gospels and what Jesus did when he was reaching out to people.Take a look at the parable of the good Samaritan. It's a matter of heart. Jesus said it so well whwen he said- Greater love has no man than he lay down his life for a friend. This goes way beyond just dieing for someone it also speaks to our heart in serving and sacrifice for people. When folks see that you are genuinely concerned for them and not just trying to push religion then you will see fruit. It's not necessarily what we are saying but what we do that will turn the tables and what we do can and does reflect our walk with God. In Him, lionheart |
