Bible Question: Galatians 4:4 says Jesus came in the fullness of time. But what I don't fully understand, is why did'nt Jesus come as soon as Adam and Eve had sinned? I think it would've stopped all the useless sacrifices for sin and alot of the wars that happened in the old testament. I mean could'nt God have sent His Son a little earlier than He did? |
Bible Answer: Hi humility Everything you say is true. But I dont believe God could. Look at it this way, if you throw a rock into a pond, the ripples will go out until the fullness of time when they reach the shore. Is there any way of stopping those ripples that you have set into motion by your action? Likewise there was not any way of stopping those ripples through time that Adam had set into motion. Everything had to be acted out the way it was for Jesus to be born at the fullness of time. That is how far reaching Adams act of disobedience was. Vintage68 |
