Bible Question:
Can anyone give me some direction? I have given something up to the Lord to deal with. Am I supposed to remain calm and have faith in Him, or am I to be proactive by trying to "manage" the outcome? My husband left me and my child and is now being vindictive to me for no reason. This is painful. I am very close to God but I don't know what to do because I have treated this man with love and I still pray for him (he is christian). I could get him fired...but I am sure the Lord is taking care of things for me. I am waiting on the Lord to determine things...how could God honor me when I deny Him control, right? How proactive do I need to be though? God is awesome and I don't want Him angry with me. I know this is a weird complicated question and probably not what the site is for but I appreciate any insight or biblical direction that any one can give. Thanks in advance... |
Bible Answer: You may be helped by this book: Boundaries by Dr. John Townsend and Dr. Henry Cloud He also has one on marriage. I have very little understanding of your situation, but when we pray for help, we don't stop helping ourselves. I can't counsel you except to say that "giving it over to God" should not mean doing nothing. If it helps, good, if not, it's still a good book for anyone. MJH |
