Bible Question:
Can anyone give me some direction? I have given something up to the Lord to deal with. Am I supposed to remain calm and have faith in Him, or am I to be proactive by trying to "manage" the outcome? My husband left me and my child and is now being vindictive to me for no reason. This is painful. I am very close to God but I don't know what to do because I have treated this man with love and I still pray for him (he is christian). I could get him fired...but I am sure the Lord is taking care of things for me. I am waiting on the Lord to determine things...how could God honor me when I deny Him control, right? How proactive do I need to be though? God is awesome and I don't want Him angry with me. I know this is a weird complicated question and probably not what the site is for but I appreciate any insight or biblical direction that any one can give. Thanks in advance... |
Bible Answer: Greetings, The more promises you can claim from God’s Word the better off you will be. This takes a lot of study and perseverance but the Lord is able. Look at the mess that Abraham started when he tried to accomplish what the Lord promised that He would do with regards to giving him a son! The Lord does things in His own good time, turn it over to the court of heaven and let the Lord do His work. Ephes. 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Ephes. 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. CDBJ |
